Photo Prep Guide

A few small touches before we arrive make a big difference.

Please remove all cars from the driveway 20 minutes prior to appointment time.

All Rooms

  • Turn on all lights
  • Open all blinds
  • Remove ALL small rugs
  • Fans turned off
  • Hide trash cans
  • Hide pet toys, bowls, etc.
  • Remove clutter (TV remotes, kids' toys, etc.)
  • Hide wires and cords (if not, we have Photoshop)
  • Arrange furniture to make rooms look large
  • Have carpets and floors clean
  • Remove personal photos & decor
  • Turn off TVs

Kitchen

  • Counters completely clear - use the sink to hide small items
  • Remove fridge magnets
  • Hide towels, knives, appliances if possible
  • Clean fridge, microwave, dishwasher
  • Declutter

Bathrooms

  • Remove ALL vanity clutter (toothbrushes, hairdryers, razors, etc.)
  • Hide all rugs
  • Open shower curtains
  • Hide all soap bottles
  • Clean mirrors
  • Toilet seats down

Bedrooms

  • Beds made
  • Clothes and personal items put away
  • Declutter
  • Hide toys
  • Hide items on nightstand

Common Rooms

  • Furniture arranged to show the room at its best
  • Declutter

Exterior

  • Remove cars from driveway and front of the house
  • Remove trash cans, hoses, yard flags, or any clutter
  • Uncover patio furniture
  • Uncover grill if presentable

Remember, less is more.
